Happy New Year everyone.
I'm not much into proselytizing, but I'd like to recommend a book that changed my life in many ways in the past year. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle has been recommended a lot by Oprah, but I came across it as a recommendation in iTunes. I bought the audiobook and then later bought the physical book as a reference. It isn't very long, but the ideas are so dense, it does take several reads. However, if you come away understanding 10% of the content, you will be so much better for it.
After you read it, Oprah did a massive ten-week webcast with the author just on this book, one week dedicated to each chapter, that discusses the material in much greater depth.
The book is meant to be a spiritual read, but a lot of the concepts are based on psychological concepts that you can take away even if you don't choose to believe the more spiritual stuff. That was the case with me, but then I started to embrace the spiritual concepts as well... which isn't really as new-agey as it sounds... well, ok, maybe it is... but read it anyway.
