accidental video post

[If asked, Mikage would say he only brought his device around in case something happened to Teito and he had to speed back. He already realized that the curses were rather capricious, and he didn't want to risk anything happening while he was gone ( Read more... )

[Teito hadn't been sleeping - he had been reading, since the library in the house had a ton of books he hadn't even heard of before. He looks up when he hears the knock.]

What did you get?

[Not wanting to jump into the thick of things, Mikage carefully folds over the magazines as he steps over to his own bed, setting them down so they look ... harmless.

He sits down on the bed a moment later, pulling out the ornaments. One is a package of bulbs, another is a package of little Santas, reindeers, and things like that. He points to the Santa ornament with a grin.]

We're supposed to put these on the tree, too, Teito! This one is Santa Claus, like we heard about the other day.

[Teito closes the book that he had been reading - making sure to mark off the page in the process, of course, before heading over to where Mikage is sitting so he can look at these ornament things.]

It won't look as bare as it did.

[RATHER INCONSPICUOUSLY, he shifts the bad the ornaments came in over the magazines. Oh, Mikage. So sly.]

The shopkeeper told me we're meant to get a star, too, but I didn't think you could reach high enough to put it up. It might make you frown more.

I could reach the top if I wanted to!

[He doesn't notice the magazines that Mikage tried to hide, thankfully. He's too busy inspecting the ornaments.]

You'll have to keep smiling a bit more to reach it! You haven't gotten there yet.

[He reaches over and tugs at the corner of Teito's mouth.

[This is normal. Teito's used to Mikage tugging on his face and trying to get him to smile.]

I'm working on it! How much more do I have to smile to get taller, anyway!?

With how short you are, you'll have to smile all the time!

[He reaches and grabs the other side of his mouth and tugs there, too, but it's obvious he's just having fun-he starts laughing loudly, anyway.]

[Teito can't help it either, and he starts laughing as well. He likes being around Mikage.]

[He drapes over Teito, sighing easily as he falls out of his state of laughter.]

That's good, Teito. Like that!

[After a bit, Teito stops laughing as well, still smiling. He missed this sort of stuff.]

Fine!

[Teito finally puts down a reindeer ornament that he had picked up. It was kind of cute.]

Do you want to go put these up now?

[He pulls back and glances toward the magazines.]

Ah, not yet, Teito! Remember that there was something I had to teach you about?

Yes. What is it?

[He reaches for the magazines and holds them up in front of Teito.]

Which one do you like more?

[It takes a second for it to click and... he realizes that Mikage is holding porn and it's of both kinds and-- insert a nosebleed here.]

[Mikage is ever so thoughtful! He drops both the magazines in his lap, pulls out a wad of tissues, and presses them against Teito's nose.

He was prepared!]

That's called be turned on, Teito! It's something I don't react as violently to.
