So Theo started for the first team against Derby, and he started yesterday, as well, against Newcastle United in the Carling Cup match.
I was away for both games, but I heard that Theo didn't have his best performance on Saturday against Derby. Which breaks my heart a bit because I really want him to do well.
On Walcott's performance...
"I feel he had the type of defender who didn't give him any room, in the first half he struggled a little bit to find any space. In the second half he looked more himself because I asked him to come more inside to get the ball. When he stayed out as a winger, Griffin, who has a lot of experience, didn't give him any room. But he has not played for a while. For example you see Diaby came on the other night and had a difficult game - today it was completely different. I link that more with the fact that he has not played recently."
[Source] Well, Arsene is positive, so yes. *pets Theo* Next game, dear. I hope he picks up soon, he'll get to start more often then.
I have no idea how he did against Newcastle yesterday. I don't think too many people watched that game though. But we did get a 2-0 win, and I suppose he'll be starting for most of the Carling Cup games. I hope he scores again. :)
Anyway. To make this not so pointless, I found a Theo article in the Arsenal magazine. And I thought I'd scan it and share.
