Theo against Bolton

First of all, because of the icky international break, we have lost Robin for awhile. =\ And hopefully, he gets better soon. But in the mean time, Arsene has said: “I’m ready to use Walcott as striker.”

Secondly, Arsenal won 2-0 against Bolton today, and Theo came on around the 62nd minute. He played a good game, I heard. Provided the assist for Rosa's goal.

"...Walcott sprinted clear on the counter-attack, jinking past two challenges before crossing low into the box. Unfortunately no one was there to take advantage. Clichy tried his luck from distance but saw his shot fly wide and Adebayor messed up a one-on-one, rounding Jaaskelainen but forcing the ball wide and losing his footing.

Rosicky had a sighter from 20 yards and missed the target but the Czech international was in the right place at the right time with nine minutes left. Again Walcott was involved, latching onto Hleb's precise through-ball and finding space for a cross. His low delivery was stylishly clipped past Jaaskelainen by Rosicky. Game over."

And pictures from the game:

Taken from Arsene's interview:
On the impact of his subs...
"Yes, but we had a strong bench and I feel that the players before did the job, it's always difficult to measure what kind of work the player who came off before did, you know. They were already tired but of course the injection of creativity and pace of Walcott and Rosicky helped after that."

On Walcott pushing for a start...
"You are right, he will get that, don't worry. It is just that now that you feel he has come back with his shoulder problem, he has found really the injection of pace he had before, his co-ordination is better, he uses his body better - his shoulders. Today, when you see what he's brought, when he came on, you think 'that's certainly a promising striker'."

*beams* Let's hope Theo continues doing well.
