Well, it certainly has been a while since I wrote anything of substance on here. I'm considering getting another blog because this one is so deeply personal and I can't share it with too many new people. I trust all of you, faithful or not-so-faithful readers. And while nothing in here is revealing or embarassing, it's just stuff that I don't think, say, my whole family needs to know about. Do THEY really need to know that I was pining away for so-and-so or what's-his-name? No, probably not. But I obviously think that mindless chatter is worth YOUR time. :) You should feel honored.

But this post is different. Perhaps the start of something brand new and exciting. I has a second interview for a school counseling job today. It's a part-time position, but I want it so badly. Honestly, I think I'm very well qualified for the job and I have the heart, soul, energy, and enthusiasm for the position. I just got a call back from my internship supervisor from this spring, Paulette. She is one of my most supportive allies in the hunt for a school counseling job. I've learned so much from her and she's become a very important person in my life. Today I called her before I called my own mother to tell her about my interview. She's THAT important to me. Anyway, about 2 hours after my interview, Paulette called me to tell me that she had just gotten off the phone with the principal from the school I interviewed at this morning. At one point, Wendy, the principal, told Paulette that "she had three more interviews to do, but she really just wanted to be done now." That's right. DONE. After meeting me. Incredible. Paulette shared her own experience with interviewing me and then having me "far exceed her expectations" as her intern. I'm overwhlemed. Paulette told Wendy that she needed to "scoop me up before someone else did" and that if they had funding, Paulette would have hired me and had already talked to her own principal about me. The principal at my internship site, Julie, also just happened to work with Wendy at a previous school.

So, things are looking good. But there are no guarantees in this world. So I'll just keep on hoping and praying, and write a really amazing thank you note to send to Wendy. :)
