It's June. I haven't posted anything here because it just hasn't been my priority. But today, and this week, felt big. I've been vacillating between jumping for joy and sobbing in sorrow. My life is about to change in some big, big ways.

Remembering
I have noticed that most of what I post is about my boyfriend. It makes it seem as if I don't have that much else going on, but that is not quite the case. It is just that when I get inspired to write something down, to journal, to remember...it's these feelings I have about him that come out first. It's late after 2 days back in college at my 5 year college reunion. The resounding question was "why isn't Chris here?!" My answer was that it really didn't occur to me to ask him to come and that I thought he'd be bored. It was such a wonderful thing to hear on Friday. It was unexpected and perfect.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself to remember this is real life. I can't believe it's been 9 months! It's pretty remarkable.

I just requested an appointment for Planned Parenthood to start myself on the pill. I don't need it yet, but I want to be prepared, because needing it is approaching soon.

He makes comments about me, about us, about the future. He says "that's what I love about you," but hasn't said those 3 words. He said "if we ever move in together," but we live in different cities. He says "I'm really excited to go to San Francisco with you in November," but it's only May.

I had a dream last night that Chris and I were going to meet halfway after work one day...a spontaneous mid-week date. Something we never do!
When I woke up and realized that wasn't real, I was sad.
I'm looking forward to summer when perhaps my schedule will allow me such a luxury.

Don't get me wrong, I have been looking forward to Pam's bachelorette party for almost a year now, but I was just invited to go to Vegas with Chris and his friends that same weekend and that sounds amazing. If only because I wouldn't be in charge and would be able to really relax! Oh life and all the things that come with it. :)
