Facebook chat is proving to be a very useful and fun tool. Thanks, Facebook.
Tonight I chatted with a guy that I know through a few friends. He initiated conversation out of boredom and a little wine, and we talked through Facebook chat for about an hour and a half. Topics ranged from wine, formal education, growing up, relationships, marriage, movies. It was fascinating, honestly.
Here are some highlights:
Joe: Life is more a whimsical, beautiful failure. Life is like golf in that aspect. Most of your shots in golf are beautiful failures...at least mine are.
Joe: Hence the human being, not human learning.
Megan: You’re grown up already? How’d that happen?
Joe: Must have been in between glasses.
Joe: Life isn’t a timeline.
I'm content. That was interesting, definitely more fun than reading. But it is interesting, in the past couple of weeks, I've caught up with various people because of this feature. I still have AIM, but Facebook chat is almost easier. Plus, my sketchy internet stays connected better to Facebook than AIM.
