So I'm struggling with my first 2-D design project, a black-on-black grid style collage using black tones cut from magazine. I had trouble picking a design that my professor liked. Then trouble modifying a design to be complex enough according to guidelines. Then trouble retracing the desing on grid papr by having to calculate the amount of squares and angles to increase. Then trouble tracing. Then trouble re-drawing, the template, even with the aid of a ruler and triangle. Then trouble cutting the template peices. So I basically stayed in the studio an extra three hours after class trying to get everything right. This means I had to take the 6 PM bus home.
So the 6 PM bus from college to metuchen ran just late enough to make my miss my connecting bus from Metuchen to South Plainfield. This connecting bus was the last bus going home for the day. And I had no money for a cab home. So I had to walk 4 miles to get home. I started walking at 6:45 and got home about a little under 2 hours later.
I have to be up at 6 am tomorrow to be ready and waiting early at the bus stop for the 6:58 bus that usually is early to get to college by quarter to 8 AM so I can be sure I will be at my 9 am freehand drawing class on time.
