The weekend review

Apr 26, 2009 23:08

We got a preview of summer weather this weekend, which was nice when I wasn't working.
Today was Dad's 60th birthday, so I had to pick up a cake for him after work. To make sure I didn't forget (since I was working 12 to 6), I wrote "cake" on my hand, and a couple of customers saw that and made sure to remind me to remember the cake. I just got a little one, since Mom, Dad, and I went to La Skara for dinner, and there wasn't much room left after that.

Yesterday, the bake sale went pretty well, all though things didn't really pick up until after noon (apparently. I had to leave at 11 to do my library volunteering, and finished with just enough time to grab something to eat before my shift at 1). But by the time it over, nearly everything sold. And today I got a handful of $2.50 giftcards for helping out (I imagine everyone did).

Last night I dreamt that I was watching a movie where this guy and his dad went to an amusement park, and while they were there, certain rides were being sold off. And I commented to whoever I was watching the movie with that in real life, the rides would be sold to other amusement parks, not just anybody. And the person I was watching with told me that that was what was happing in the movie. And then the movie showed somebody taking a waterslide home in a flatbed truck or something. That's all I can remember from that part.
