Mom and I are doing low-carb for lent, so last night I tried out a recipe for Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche. Basically, it's like a regular quiche, only the crust is made out of ground beef and bacon. And it turned out pretty good (Mom especially liked it), but I felt like it was missing something. Maybe because I made it with shredded cheddar, and I'm not that fond of cheddar in the first place.
I had yesterday and today off, but this morning Dan called and asked if I could come in sometime since there's going to be a blizzard tonight, and that always means extra people coming in to stock up. And I didn't want to say no, since extra money is always good, but I had plans for the morning, although I condensed that explanation into just my library volunteering (which I've explained to him before), but he said I could come whenever, so I agreed.
By the time I ran my errands and finished at the library (it took 2 hrs. 6 min. this time around), and grabbed a quick lunch, it was 1:30, so I went to work until 5:30, but really, I think I could have just stayed home. It was busy, but not so busy that they couldn't have managed without me. I was a bagger, but at three, Betsy went home and no one replaced her, so there wasn't any bagging for me to do. I spent an hour just doing returns, and then spent the rest of the time bagging for Stephanie's mom(!) and getting red baskets. In fact, for the entire last 15 minutes, I had nothing to do, seriously, so I just went around and found all the items that people leave in odd places around the registers when they don't want to buy them, and then went home.
