"Our tannenbaum is bright and brassy (yeah!), just like Ethel Merman!"

Last night Mom and Dad took me out to eat, since they had a gift certificate that my aunt gave them last year for Christmas. It was a seafood place, and the house special was twin 1lb lobsters, so Mom and I both got that, only she got them stuffed and I didn't. I tasted her stuffing, and I didn't really like it, so I'm glad I didn't get it. I did get calamari as an appetizer, and it was the best calamari I've ever had. It was in some kind of butter sauce, and it was so tender and delicious, even if it was covered in arugula leaves.
The weird thing is, without even trying, we got the exact amount of the gift card almost exactly.

Today I had to get a cavity filled, but the weird thing is, Mom and Grammie had dentist appointments, too, only an hour before me, so I saw them getting ready to leave just when I got there. After I was done, I went to the Target in Waterbury, since I'd never been there, and did a little Christmas shopping. I like shopping at Target, because they always have cool stuff that you wouldn't think of.

I have tomorrow off, too, so I may do some more shopping. Mom wants to go to Marshall's in the morning, but then she has stuff she has to do, so I can go in the afternoon.

food, family, shopping
