It was a beautiful day today, too bad I had to spend most of it at work. But at least it was nice for the parade. Since Stop and Shop is right on the parade route, there was a rush right before it with people trying to get their groceries before the road closed, and then a rush right after it. During it, people kept sneaking away to watch (like two certain CDHs), but I was not one of them. It was all right, though. We had hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner, and tomorrow we're all going to see Prince Caspian.

I'm working on catching up on Shugo Chara, although this is mostly inspired by the issue of Nakayoshi I picked up in Chicago, with a particularly infamous chapter.

Going back in time a little, my last day in Indiana was pretty packed. First off, Dave and I had a conference call with his life coach (of course, her first response to our call was to say she wasn't near her book, could we call back in five minutes), where basically she asked us things and talked about them before hearing our answers, and then regardless of what we actually said, told us what she wanted to say anyway.
After the conference call, it was time for lunch already, so Dave and I went to that Japanese restaurant that I went to the last time I was down there. Only since we were there for lunch, I was able to get Curry Rice! It was good, but there was too much, and since I was leaving that night, I couldn't take the leftovers with me (not that there was much left after Dave, who just had tonkatsu, was done with what I left behind).

Apparently Dave had read the Iron Man comics when he was younger, so he filled me in on the stuff that was different and the same in the movie.

After lunch we went to Target, mainly so I could show Dave how to shoot stuff for the registry, even though we were mostly done. I also got a new watch, the exact same kind as the one I lost. Since this was a Super Target, they had a Jelly Belly station, so I got a few of those, too.
We also went to the mall to look at rings, but we didn't make any decisions just then.

Then we went back home so I could finish packing. Once I was done, I bid everyone there farewell, and Dave and I went to dinner at this little diner that is apparently a West Lafayette institution or something. We both had breakfast for dinner, and then we drove to the airport, which took like an hour. It rained the whole way, but by the time we got there, it was only drizzling. We were also an hour early, and it was so not busy. Seriously, no one else was checking in or going through security, so there was no need to get going or anything. So we had overpriced drinks in a sports bar that was by the A concourse. By the time we were done, it was time for me to go, so we said our goodbyes.
The plane home was tiny, but it was a direct flight, so it gets points for that.

Why am I suddenly craving the Broadway Cast Recording of Xanadu? Probably Kerry Butler's fault. Thank you, Wallingford, for having someone in collection development who cares about getting the lastest OCRs ^_^
