Five minutes before my alarm went off, Dad wakes me up to ask whether the raisin bars I made last night were for him to take to his parents' house, but no, I made them for the Stop and Shop bake sale (to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) -_-
Speaking of work, I'm on self-scan today, one to five. This is the first time I've done self-scan for a shift since the Fourth of July, but I'm not opening or closing, so it should be okay. But self-scan has the most potential to be boring if things get slow (like they have every afternoon this week). If you're on a register, you can wipe down the conveyor belt over and over, and if you're a bagger you can take red baskets from the registers and put them back by the doors, plus a million other tasks that the CDHs will make baggers do even if it's busy. But on self-scan, you have to stick close to the self-scan registers, and clean up is kind of neglible, since you can't control the conveyor belt's movement. But there are two more registers since I last did it, so hopefully things will be okay, and it's a shorter shift, so there you go.
That new Visa Check Card ad makes me want to watch Brazil again. I need a Jonathon Pryce fix.
