Snow, Work, Valentines
Despite the rest of the world getting a snowday, I still had to get to work. Not fun that, but once I was there, it was a pretty decent time (except for the bloodiest piece of meat ever that dripped its essence all over my hands and register. Luckily for me, I had a couple of Purell antibacterial wipes with me, but still. A lot of people must have called out, though, because there were only two or three registers open the whole time I was there. There were enough customers to keep us all busy, which surprised me. I had a hard enough time getting to work, so why would anyone voluntarily head out when they could stay safe and warm at home was beyond me (one lady said it was to get away from her fighting kids). Lots were Valentine's procrastinators, picking up cards, candy, and bouquets (I will now infinitely appreciate any floral arrangements I get in the future).
Dave's package came on Monday and his card came yesterday ^_^ He gave me a bath bomb, lip balm, a canister of heart chocolates (yummy) and a shirt that says ADO(RED). The card came with a little puzzle he had written a message on. My stuff for him hasn't arrived yet, though (or if it did, he can't get to it, since he got 17 inches of snow today).
Now, to finish up that annotated bibliography...
