I went and saw that film everyone is talking about. It was pretty enjoyable. Predictably, I ended up shipping Charles/Erik. Unpredictably, I ended up shipping Mystique/EVERYONE.

( And now to expand on those statements, in a slightly more spoilery fashion. )

And HOMG, I've loved McAvoy forever and Fassbender since Inglourious Basterds, so of course I was totally on board with Charles/Erik. But now that you mention fucked up Raven/Charles, I wouldn't mind that either :P

Oh man, I was reading rionaleonhart's reaction post, and she brought up the idea of Raven/Erik where Raven is in the form of Charles, and I would TOTALLY ALSO BE ALL UPONS THAT. Her power has so much fucked up potential. ♥__♥

(I'm still trying to figure out if I can make Charles/Erik/Raven work in my head, but I'm not quite sure how it'd fit emotionally, yet.)

Haha, it was so great. I DEFS AGREE WITH HIM ON THE WHOLE "It is a little bit of a mini-tragedy that him and Magneto don't, you know, have sex and become married and become best friends." THING.

Haha, I was with my boyfriend, but luckily he knows about my slashy tendencies, and was braced for the falling apart I did. I find it so frustrating going to see films and having a fannish reaction to them with non-fans. DNW TO HAVE TO CONTAIN MYSELF THAT MUCH. D:

I love that article! And YES I so, so see Raven turning into Charles for when she and Erik and fucking away each other's Charles-related pain.

But I was mega pissed off that while Raven had a character arc that totally worked for a single movie, that they needed MUCH more time to have made Erik's turn to evil believable. (But good that a girl got a good character arc!!)

Also was mega pissed off that the only black characters died or went evil, and also that when Kevin Bacon was all, "The humans will ENSLAVE US," oh look, who does the camera flick to? THAT WOULD BE THE BLACK KID. Really, movie?
