So recently I have been watching Chuck. I'm up to season two episode four.
Guys. Guys. WHY DIDN'T ANY OF YOU TELL ME TO WATCH CHUCK? YOU COULD HAVE, IDK, MENTIONED IT. "OH, BTW THEO, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT RIDICULOUSLY ADORABLE SHOWS ABOUT GEEKINESS AND SPIES IN WHICH STUFF GETS BLOWN UP SOMETIMES?"
(I AM FULLY AWARE THAT THE CHUCK LOVERS ON MY FLIST PROBABLY HAVE MENTIONED IT, AND I'VE JUST FAILED TO HEED THEIR ADVICE. SHUT UP, THIS IS STILL YOUR FAULT, NOT MINE.)
Just in case anyone has failed to pick it up so far, I LOVE this show. It is so cute! And fun! And generally all-around yay inducing! :D I don't think anything has met my quirky, adorable, happy-making show needs this well since I watched Wonderfalls.
I am even on board with their canon het shipping. Although personally I prefer to make it into an OT3, because Chuck and Casey and Sarah are my favourite. Yes, all three of them. Everyone else on the show is my second favourite. <333
Also, Chuck Bartowski and Sam Winchester were at Stanford University at the same time. Which obviously means I had to go hunting down crossover fic, because CHUCK AND SAM WERE AT COLLEGE TOGETHER AND WERE TOTALLY ADORABLE GEEKY FRIENDS.
One of the crossover fics I found was this one, which is a wee cute little thing in which Sam is secretly a secret agent! And, TBH, if the CIA really did have as thorough a recruiting system at Stanford as they do in Chuck, obviously they would have picked out Sam. Smart! Athletic! Already has lock picking skills! PERFECT CANDIDATE.
In conclusion: I REALLY DESPERATELY NEED FIC IN WHICH SAM IS A SECRET AGENT NOW.
I have already read rei_c's Spy!Sam AU Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap). Which has possibly set the bar a little high, because it was AWESOME. (Although I would have ended it a little differently, for personal preference reasons. I whole-heartedly rec the fic, but just to let you know that you might not feel the ending, depending on what you go into the fic looking for.)
Is there anything else out there in that vein? Maybe? Please?
(Alternatively, rec me Chuck fic. Or vids. Or just squee about Chuck and/or the idea of Sam being a badass spy with me. \o/)
