I love going into stores and encountering employees that are even nerdier than I.  It's happened to me twice this year at the Square One Coles - I've gone to buy a book, and the person serving me got all giddy at the prospect of reading the book, and being excited by the sight of it.  It happened this week with A Feast For Crows, the latest book from George R.R. Martin's A Song Of Fire And Ice, now out in paperback.  It's epic fantasy, that has been favourably compared in scope to classics like The Once And Future King and Lord Of The Rings; additionally, the novels are filled with realpolitik, believable culture, and massive amounts of action.  If you  have any inclination towards fantasy-type material, I strongly suggest you give this one a try.
