Glutton for Punishment

Saturday night Kevin and I went to see a production of Fiddler on the Roof with Curtain Call that a couple of our friends were in. We realized they were holding auditions for Tootsie on Monday. Everyone was talking to us and being nice to us on Saturday night that I decided maybe I do have a place at Curtain Call. I auditioned for Tootsie against my better judgment.

I thought the audition was pretty good, but today is the callback and I wasn't called back. That doesn't mean I won't get into the ensemble, but I am trying not to get my hopes up. It would be nice to have something to look forward to this summer.

The Harrison Players are in the midst of auditioning for their fall production (they always hold auditions months ahead of rehearsals), Stage Kiss. There is only one part in that play I am not too old to play, and I know Anthony will cast one of his favorite leading ladies in it. Kevin auditioned though and it looks like he will get the part he wants. Everyone at the audition told him he was great and he is being called back tonight.

I rode Riddle for about 20 minutes on Saturday. I managed to ride longer than I expected to. We will see what I can handle this weekend We have to squeeze in a short amount of time at the barn on Saturday because we have an early Father's Day dinner in the city Saturday night. Maybe I will confine the riding to Saturday.

My shoulder is getting better every day. I am gaining more ROM and can carry some weight. I suppose that's my one piece of good news.

I hope the second half of the year has more in store for me than the first!
