don't you worry, we'll all float on

our stay in the empty dorms came to an abrupt end tonight because we found out the housing office starts inspections tomorrow. and so we packed up the ye old grocery cart again, drank the last of our vodka, and moved into an empty office. (well, we hope it's empty anyways.)
it was a pretty big adventure; we waited for it to get dark because we had to push the cart up a huge ass hill and three different elevators. it helped that we were kind of drunk and feeling ballsy.
it's scary sleeping in an office but the price is right (free) and they have couches and wireless so it's pretty cushy.
on the plus side, there's been these crazy catered brunches all weekend for graduating seniors and their families, so kamilla and i crash at least one a day, stuff ourselves with fresh fruit (we have to get our vitamins somewhere) and leave. it's suprisingly easy.
tomorrow the graduating ends so we'll have to find a new food source.
also, today we found a bunch of salon haircare products in the trash, and two more l-sat prep books and a new yorker.
we are going to be the hottest/best educated bums you've ever seen.

on a more serious note, a coupld people have asked me why we're doing this. basically, it started with this conversation we were always having about wastefulness. my friend kamilla is from russia, and she just can't get over how much stuff americans waste. i agreed, and we started batting this idea around that america is such a wealthy country-- rich to such excess, that one could live off the 'fat'; basically, that a person could survive---nay, be comfortable, living off the stuff other people waste and/or are too lazy to take advantage of. we sort of got obsessed with this idea, and so here we are, streched out on couches in an office building somewhere.
