I just left a meeting with Aaron Jones, a local musician and acquaintance of mine---the thing about Bloomington, which some of you know, is that you run into people all the time, who, though you may not classify them as your "friends," you have a relationship with nonetheless, and with whom you may actually spend more time than those you do classify as your "friends"---this is certainly the case with me, here, at ths juncture in my life, since most of my friends live elsewhere. At any rate, I met Aaron at a show he did at the Cinemat several months ago, and we have been talking about "doing something" together ever since. Well, now it is going to happen. The space at the Waldron Arts Center has been reserved for 13, 14 & 15 October, and we are now working out the details of the show. The format will be like an old-time live radio show, with a vaguely sci-fi theme, everything performed live, in front of an audience, and broadcast on WFHB. I am really excited about this, and sort of terrified, since I've never done anything like this, and we are still a little vague about the details. Each performance will be different, with a unifying theme, but altered material. More details as I've got them...
