Vet scribing not vibing

I kind of don’t know how to feel about this job. Like it’s okay, it’s not the most stimulating or fulfilling but it’s not difficult and it’s nice to work from home. Literally work from my bed if I want to although I’d like to not fall into a completely slug human habit.

The training has been so annoying. It feels like they’re rushing you through and it’s not very effective. They don’t feel like waiting for the hospitals to give us EMR access so they have us use the stupid templates and then the supervisors have to take everything we’ve typed up and enter it into the EMR. Which just seems stupidly redundant. Why wouldn’t they just listen to the recording themselves and put it in? Or just wait for us to get access before they make us do this shit? I mean some of it I guess is that they’re still giving us notes and making corrections so we can see where we need to improve but…they could’ve done that on the practice? It all just seems very disorganized and nonsensical. They also have all kinds of contradictions. They say don’t use abbreviations or acronyms unless the doctor says so and then on my very first note she nailed me on not using abbreviations and acronyms for the vaccines. Like SQ and RH. So these are things I’ll probably get used to and figure out over time but still. It’s annoying.

I also just think I have hormonal brain fog or something because I keep having really dumb moments. I ask questions and then I see the answer is super obvious and now I look like an idiot in front of the entire chat.

Oh well. At least it’s kind of low pressure. If I get fired I get fired. I hope I don’t, but if I do oh well. Fun experiment. Nice little distraction. Some extra dollars. Whatever.
