I’ve been living in a cave. Yes, that’s right, a cave. Well, actually, it’s my garage. My house is under massive overhaul before my graduation party. Or in other words, my mother’s gone out of her mind. Basically, she decided that our house needed major work before my graduation party. Or she wanted to redo some rooms and decided to set the graduation party as an artificial yet motivating deadline.
So first, we did the deck. Myself, my sister, and my sister’s boyfriend, who my mom hired to help us with the work. Clean the deck. Twice. Paint the deck…. Twice. The paint all the deck furniture. Twice. Then we did the living room. My mother and I have been incharge of all this. We picked the couch, a light springy green, and brown leather chairs, and we painted the walls this kind of burnt orange colour, with a ceiling colour in the same family. Then we painted the fireplace a colour my mom calls “mocha.” And I spent a week and half in the garage (my cave) sanding, priming, painting, and polyurethaneing the mantle, curtain rods, a dresser, the coffee table, and the TV cabinet. Ah yes. Painted the back hall light green, and onto the family room which we are in the process of having ripped up. Charmed I’m sure.
The only punctuation of all of this is that I went to the DIA on Friday with Jeff. And I had a job interview last Thursday.
I’m hopefully going to be working at Ann Taylor’s in Rochester. I had an interview and filled out this online thing and now I have to just be basically checked over by the supervisor on Friday to make sure I’m suitable. So I hope all goes well.
My family from round the globe are getting in soon so I’m excited. Yay Schramm’s from Chile.
Have an appointment on Wed to try and figure out what’s wrong with my back. I haven’t been able to sleep until I’m done sleeping, I sleep until my terrible back pain wakes me up. So maybe I’ll have some new information about what the problem is soon.
Also, appart from all this crazy house work, I don't know what to do with myself without hours of homework and life eating plays and music ensembles... I'm restless. I need to be busy.
