new tomorrow
I would have to say that the last 42 hours have been effin amazing. My best friend, Boy Lawren, and myself decided to take a rode trip down to his home town, San Luis Obispo, on Monday for the NEW TOMORROW show. NEW TOMORROW is an amazing band. Boy Lawren introduced these amazing guys to me a couple of months ago at a show in roseville at a christain venue and now I am such a fan.... ;).... anywho, it took Boy Lawren and I about 4 hours to get to SLO. Once we were in SLO i quickly meet his sweet parents, and then headed over to Woods house. Which is where I meet some fricken amazing people..... played a great game of foose (sp) ball, threw down some beers, meet the newest member of the McGurks, fudge the pig, had a convo about Woods lil bro, Joey getting pulled over for his music, coheed and cambria, playing too loud, AT 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON, and walked to the DOWNTOWN "SLO" BREW for the show. By this time I had only seen NEW TOMORROW two other times, so this time i wanted to go balls to the walls and have a great time instead of photographing this particular show. Meaning the trip was tri-fold, 1. to see SLO, 2. to see NEW TOMORROW, and 3. to photograph NEW TOMORROW for my final advanced photo assignement and my website (which will be live in a month). If possible I think I had too much fun in the pit. I chipped a tooth, just a little bit, and I have many internal and external bruises ALL over my body, but it was fuckin worth it. Then i ended the night by walking back to Woods house and crashed on the couch till Boy Lawren was done eatting at Woodstocks Pizzaria.....
funny story from Woods point-a-view tuesday night about monday night.... "it was crazy, last night I let Chandra in to crash on the couch before i went to sleep. then i woke up to take Fudge, the pig, out to pee and noticed that Chandra must have gained a few pounds. I went up to the couch and noticed that Chandra was gone and now my lil bro was sleeping on the couch, weird, where did she go. oh well, back to be for me. then when i really woke up no one was on the couch. weird.
Monday came and went as did we from SLO... Boy Lawren were going to leave from SLO to head straight to the Cherry Bar for the NEW TOMORROW show in the City. But instead, we left SLO to make it back to ROPO to vote before we headed to the show. And I am glad that we did.... Tired as all hell without a nap I went to pick up Boy Lawren and headed to the city. Made it there in time to photograph them and rock out a little bit with MEGABABE, an international band. ;) good job TIM.
to sum up my extented weekend. i love my best friend. i love new tomorrow. i love SLO and all the amazing people i meet there. and i now need a mini vaca from it all...
