"Master" Anime List
Throughout my life I’ve watched/read plenty of anime and manga. My first anime was the 90s Sailor Moon, which I saw on Toonami. I became hooked. Though I’ve always been more of a gamer-dork, I had a lot of affection for the tropes and creativity I saw in anime when compared to most American shows (there being some big exceptions to this rule, of course.)
As a young adult I entered into a relationship with a guy who has no interest in anime, and so I didn’t have anyone to watch it with, which can be a big detriment to me when I’m going through a show. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I finally tried to get back in the anime game (I also picked up a lot of modern anime knowledge from simple online pop culture osmosis). I’ve had…mixed…results, especially as I find a lot of anime tropes actually drive me up the wall.
Out of curiosity, I decided to make a (decidedly non-inclusive) list of the anime I’ve finished, or seen a good bit of. Mostly this is for my own reference, as I often forget what I finished/didn’t finish and vice versa. I’ll probably update this as I consume more of the media (and promptly discard it)
