Considering the Arkham series

Today I completed Arkham Asylum for the third time. It's strange, as City is still my most played in the series (one time through, but lots of time spent on challenge maps and hunting down Riddler trophies) and so I often try to use mechanics in Asylum that were only prevalent in City. (Dive bombing, mutli-counters, bat-swarm special combo move, certain quick-fire combination triggers, standing atop railing without leaping over and into enemy fire) While City is defintely the best in the series (up to this point, fingers crossed for Arkham Knight) Asylum is still a lot of fun to play.

The Scarecrow segments are some of the best, and I love how the story empowers Ivy and makes her an even more deadly antagonist. The section in Killer Croc's lair is also pretty intense.

Really, imagining that Arkham Knight could be better than City makes me wanna squee. Yeah, I'll admit it. Squee.

I have a few thoughts on the controversy surrounding the Knight DLC- and DLC in general- but I want to organize my thoughts a bit better before delving into that.
