The Lazy Shell is awesome

So with only one star to go I thought now would be an interesting time to see how well I would fare against Culex. I accidentally fought him the first time I entered Monstro Town and he (well, his crystals technically) annihilated me with the powerful magic they possessed. This time I was much more prepared. I didn't expect to actually win though.

My party was Mario, Bowser and Peach. Mario and Bowser had the fire armor they got from the Barren Volcano while Peach had the Lazy Shell armor. Bowser had the Spiked Link and Peach the War Fan. Mario had the Lazy Shell equipped. Everyone was level 19.

When I entered the battle I constantly used the Star Egg with Mario and Bowser and Peach constantly healed with Therapy and Group Hug. The Earth Crystal fell quickly. I used a Crystalline Item to raise the groups defense until Culex negated the beneficial status with Shredder, and so I used another one after that.

Bowser used a 'Red Incense' item which negated all damage against him for three turns. I got one during the 'Look Away' game I played trying to get the Star Egg. It pretty much meant for that three turns both Bowser and Peach were invincible. Mario managed to survive at least two hits thanks to the added defense from the Crystalline.

Once the defense was negated again it pretty much came down to who could kill who first. Peach spent every turn casting Come Back to revive either Bowser or Mario as the currently alive one would use a Star Egg. When it was just down to Culex and one crystal I managed to revive everyone and pelted Culex with physical timed attacks (Mario with the Lazy Shell did 300 damage!) Culex died a turn later.

It wasn't as difficult as it sounds though. My dad called me at one point and we talked for about five minutes while I went through the battle. The Lazy Shell on Peach kind of made her a defensive goddess so I wasn't too worried.

Anyways, my uvula seems to be swollen. It's elongated and rubbing against the back of my throat and I hate it. It's almost kind of painful. Lame.

sickness, mario
