(no subject)
Been sick with strep throat the last couple of days (I can't believe it either, it's only been two weeks since I healed from my last bout of illness!. The entirety of October through December seems to hate me as it's quite common that I become sick two or three times in the span of a few months.
So while I've been dealing with that little bout of ickyness I also managed to wrangle all 12 stars in Super Mario Galaxy. It was a trip. The worst of the Purple Stars was definitely the Dreadnought. General consensus online also seemed to show that Luigi's Purple Coins in the Toy Time Galaxy was as bad but I actually found it really fun and relatively easy once you strategize a little. Going to take a break from this one for awhile and play Luigi's mode some other time. Though I did go ahead and get his first star just to see the gameplay differences in the brothers. I'm pretty pleased as Luigi is quite a bit faster, and jumps higher than Mario and I thought Mario ran a little too slow during the game.
Still working on Super Mario RPG as well. I'm in the Barren Volcano. I'm around level 17 or 18 or so and just defeated the boss of the Volcano. (I still have those Power Ranger knock offs to fight though. I went straight into the room with the Power Star after beating the boss and entered into battle with them unexpectedly and they annihilated me. >.<)
I've also been playing some Brawl lately. It's been a long time hah hah. I finally unlocked Wolf and am done unlocking characters! Only 95% of everything else to go!....>.>
Joe actually has helped me out on the Co-op event matches (which, btw, the worst must be the 'Kill 50 Yoshis' with Pit and Metaknight.)
And that's really it. Haven't really had time to play Chrono Trigger since I seemingly lost my DS cord. Again. So it looks like I'll have to use the Gamestop giftcard I got for my birthday to buy a new one. >.> Le frown.
Oh! And my new laptop is love. : )
