Exhausted from cleaning up her cottage, Iris goes to sleep immediately...
Only to wake up sitting at the defendant's chair at Courtroom #7. The atmosphere was tense and the whispers coming from the audience only made the feeling worse. She knew that her trial was over months ago and she has been doing her time in the Detention center ever since. What was she doing back here? Imagine her shock when she looked over the witness stand...
'Dahlia!' It was not a ghost. She was... alive.
Her twin turned to her, giving her a sweet smile. "So nice for you to join us, Iris."
"But--"
"Let me handle this, Iris." Another surprise. Phoenix Wright turned back to Dahlia, his expression grim. "Now tell me the reason why you did all the things you did!"
Dahlia chuckled, flipping her red hair before continuing. "It's simple, really," her lips curled into a wicked grin. "It's all Iris' fault."
"What? No -- I tried to help! I--" Phoenix shook his head, cutting the younger twin off.
"Please enlighten the court then, Dahlia. How was it Iris' fault?"
"Gladly." Upbeat music suddenly started to play, making Iris jump in her seat. Her confusion increased when her older sister started to sing.
Wait. What?!
I was cheated by you and I think you know when
So I made up my mind it must come to an end
Look at me now, will I ever learn?
I don't know how but I suddenly lose control
There's a fire within my soul
The attorney slammed his palms on the table. The music changed into a ballad-like tune. Apparently, it was Phoenix turn to sing.
I don't wanna talk about the things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me now it's history
I've played all my cards and that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say no more ace to play
The winner takes it all the loser standing small
Beside the victory that's her destiny
Dahlia scoffed at the man. "Oh that's just rich. I knew you liked her better, Feenie."
Iris stood from her seat. She knew the judge wouldn't like this but she felt she had to say--erm, sing something.
"Dahlia, wait! I..."
I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
The younger twin saw the look at that flashed on her sister's face: it was pure disgust. She had seen that expression numerous occasions but Iris kept on, hoping somehow she will reach Dahlia with her song.
I believe in angels, something good in everything I see
I believe in angels, when I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
Dahlia just smirked at her sister. The music returned to the happy, peppy melody that was heard earlier prompting a musical rebuttal from the redhead.
'Well, I can only say one thing about you two..."
Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist ya?
Mamma mia, does it show again
My My, just how much I've missed ya?
Yes, I've been broken-hearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, now I really know
My my, I should not have let you go...
[wakes up with a start, mumbles to herself] Why were we singing? o.o
