Home, sweet home.

I knew I was getting dirty looks for not having had a car to transport them a certain Queen C from the airport to here. Even if the walk wasn't long, I guess she just didn't like having to have walked. I had accidently forgotten the bus with the whole passing out and walking up to your second undead-undead...er, lover, and dealing with Faith, to ( Read more... )

I heard it that slick, sly, seemingly sexy voice, and his cool calm attitude towards Buffy. “ Well if you’re gonna go patrol, I could come with. You know, back you up… like old times?”

I acted quickly..too quickly. "No, there will be no going with. This is strictly a one seater slayage." I said almost babbling. The last thing Buffy needed right now was to run around alone outside hunting vampire with Angel. I remember what used to happen when they'd go "slaying" they'd make with the gropage and the smoochies.

But not this time, not on my watch.

I smiled at Buffy, "well, at first I wasn't going ot say anything, but ode to my arm pit does you no justice honestly. And I think a bath is in order, a long 6 or 7 hour bath would be perfect don't you think so? I'll help Willow play host and you just soak away the uh smell." I blushed and clasped my hands together hopeing she'd take the hint, lift my burden and not make me ache.

I layed my head on her shoulder. "A squeaky clean Buffy is a much more effective slayer, I read all about it in People."

Okay, now protective Xander was acting more like Giles-y Xander. Which by the way, is really weird and creepy. But for now, part of me, an itty part of me that was fueding with the other part of me, that...okay, way too much thought into all this. Anyhow, I felt guilty and not so guilty over liking the fact that Xander put his foot down and said, demandingly, that Angel just wasn't going to go with. That left room and time for me to see Spike. Alone.

It's already chaos and I haven't even stepped into the bathroom. Hmph.

Cocking my head to the side, I couldn't help but crack another smile, tired again, at Xander before I blew some air at his face. "If you think my body smells bad, take a wiff of that." Wriggling my brows, I quickly gave an innocent look, lower lip out in a pout and all. "Hygeine has seriously taken a lack of these days with me, and sure. Just behave Xander. I know there are a few people, okay, probably just a couple, namely Cordelia and Angel to be exact, that you don't want to see, but remember they've gone through a lot and they deserve some peace and quiet. Whilst it lasts, yanno? So, be good and thank you." Tapping his cheek with the palm of my hand, I hurried off into the nearest working bathroom.

Door shut behind me, light low, not because that's the way I perfered it, but because the bulb was dying.

It didn't take me long to soak up, wash up and dry up. Coming out squeaky clean in just a robe and heading right to my room, where I dressed and went to head back outside. VIA the back staircase through the kitchen.
