Hit and run, part three
My friend Paula did some overtime today. I hardly ever get to see her so it was nice to have her there and as an added bonus, she sat next to me for 8 hours! It was a good day.
It was fairly busy so we didn't have a lot of time to talk, but she managed to tell me about going to lunch earlier at this little diner down the road that was pretty good. Who did she go with? She went with our friend and...crazy hit & run lady. I looked at her like she was crazy, I'm sure, and asked, "You didn't let her DRIVE did you?" "No girl, he (our friend) drove. He said he wasn't going to get in a car with her ever again." "Wise choice," I said, "Do you know if she ever told that guy anything about the car?" She rolls her eyes "Girl, she got that done the other afternoon. It cost her $90 at some place there and you can still kinda see the dents and the scratches."
So, no, not only did she NOT tell the truth, but she had work done on her car so she could lie about it. *groans*
Also, my apologies to the understanding people I'm betaing for who will forgive me for not doing my duty because of my 4-day migraine. It's gone now and I will get on the ball ASAP.
