Here is Eads Bridge in St Louis, completed in 1874 and still in use today. It was the first major bridge to use steel and cantilevered construction and was the first bridge to span the Mississippi in St Louis. The first picture was taken ca1901.
Sorry about the poor Photoshop skills. In the background is the Martin Luther King Jr Bridge (formerly the Veterans Bridge.) The Eads Bridge is still in use today, carrying light rail on the lower deck and traffic on the upper.
