Before sleep clubs me over the head, drags me off to its cave and calls me its bitch for the next few hours, I thought I'd do a quick post/update. Because I know, I just know, that you've been dying to read about these things. Vultures, the lot of you.
First of all, this post is coming to you from my spiffy new (to me, anyway) eMac. Cool turntable jazz is streaming while I type merrily away, adding to the illusion that I am hip and with-it when it comes to modern technology - hooray! Thanks to my roommate and her fiancee for setting this up for me; I loves my Interwebs, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to how to set it all up.
Late tomorrow morning I shall be off to Seattle with members of Orkestar Slivovica to enjoy a music lovefest more commonly known as
Northwest Folklife. Provided the weather holds out, it should be fun, although I might be one of the few people there not wearing any tie-dyed anythings. While the whole band cannot make it down, enough of us should be there that we can do some playing/busking while enjoying the ridiculously diverse selection of musicians and ethnicities. I'll probably wind up sleeping in the van or something, but that is perfectly fine with me (I've slept in far worse places). If you're going down, hopefully we'll bump into each other!
