Spontaneous Vacation

Jun 01, 2009 22:59

I'm currently in Mobile burning CDs for a little roadtrip down to Orlando with Laila (one of my best friends from high school) and one of her co-workers, Randi, who also happened to be one of my co-workers way back when I worked at the evil-golden arches (that right y'all, I used to work at McD's). Anyway, this all came about because another of my high school friends currently works for Mickey and can let in like 3 people in for free a day. We're going to stay at his apartment plus get free tickets...so this is basically a free vacation (!!!). As an added bonus, my boss was super-cool about it when I asked if I could take this week off.

I'm not sure on park particulars for this trip. All I know is that there will be alcohol (hopefully we'll be able to sneak it in), roller coasters, and pictures. Lots of pictures. We leave tomorrow in the AM and will return Sunday, which gives us 4 actual days of park time (which is totally sweet)!

Saw Wolverine last Friday. It sucked. Complete garbage compared to the other three movies...basically because I was hard pressed to find any type of storyline and the action scenes were so-so. Still need to see Transformers II and Angles and Demons. I finished reading the book for A&D, btw. I have to revise my last statement. This book was definitely better than the Da Vinci Code, if only because the twist(s) at the end is so much better. Oh, Robert Langdon, you are one bad-ass Harvard prof.

Trying to decided weather I should try to read books in my spare time this summer or catch up on movies I've never seen by getting a Netflix account...decisions, decisions...
