I survived finals week! I had a crazy journey after my last final on Friday morning. Starting with Laplace, then off to Gulfport for some casino action with the parentals, then Mobile today for the Mother's day, and now I'm back in Baton Rouge getting set to go to work tomorrow.
What a crazy-ass semester this has been. It started with a million trips to everywhere over the winter break. Then I had my stint as concrete canoe captain extraordinaire (with a high-stress and anxiety diet). There was Mardi Gras break (with the very welcome addition of beer and gambling), then a chilly Spring Break, and then some of the worst weeks I've had (school-work-intense-wise) I've ever had. Oh yeah, I also took the GRE and FE exams. I so glad I didn't have to rush and move-out of a dorm/ECA last week, because that would have just been a really shitty end to a busy semester. Of course, it dose leave me void of any nastalgic feeling that I've had for the past few years at the end of the year. I guess before college, the start of summer was a really big deal. Now, it's still a big deal, but it's more like, "Thank GOD, now I finally have time to just be a lazy asshole and watch TV all night, or see a movie, or do whatever the hell..."
I hope this is an awesome summer. I guess I should be a little more proactive and make this an awesome summer. Kind of a second chance at my last summer as an undergrad. There are tons of movie that I want to see this summer, there is plenty of moonshine and other spirits that need to be purchased, and gas doesn't cost $arm+leg /gal (we hope). Also...there needs to be spontaneous trips to New Orleans where the above mentioned items can all be done with maximum efficiency. Oh yeah, Summer 2009 better watch out, cause we're about to rock its world.
