Spring Break 09
I've had a very carefree break. Doing lots of traveling (as always), but also making time to be lazy along with various school items.
I've had three assignments to deal with, I only actually worked on two (the ones that are due tomorrow). I also have tried to start studying for this "Fundamentals of Engineering" exam that's in two weeks, yikes! It's an eight hour exam, which means I'll have to start praying to sweet baby jesus in order to have enough stamina to last through the whole ordeal....
Oh, so my break began with a quick trip home to Mobile on Friday. My cousin Erika came along for the ride, and we ended up at my brother's track meet, after which my dad meet the three of us at a local eatery for a nice Lenten supper. After that, Erika and I headed to the beach for the next few days. Some of my high school friends were suppose to join us, but they all canceled last minute-like, but I suspect it had to do with the cold weather. With highs in the 70's, we didn't get to do much. On Tuesday, Erika met up with her roommates who were headed off to Destin and I headed back to Mobile, where I spent the rest of my break doing random things. I went to Biloxi twice to see if Lady Luck would be kind to me. Once with my step-mom and then again with Laila (one of my high school friends). Luck was not so kind to me, but I now have a growing collecting of player's club cards from the boats (get me a wig and some dentures and I'll be a regular maw maw!).
Today, I got up early and went to mass with the family. We had a nice Sunday brunch at a local restaurant, and I headed back to Baton Rouge to being my HOMEWORK. Which I am currently procrastinating on. These next three weeks are going to be super-hella-busy, and finals will be murder. After that, I have smooth sailing...come on summer...come ON summer!
