Something far worse than what happened before Christmas.
He narrowed his eyes, and scanned the immediate area for thoughts from anyone. There were some distant ones, most likely in the town a hundred or so miles away. Charles focused harder.
And then there was something more.
Charles nodded. "There are quite a few here. Underground."
After another long moment, Charles' eyes grew. He knew that voice.
"Darwin." he whispered.

Finally, after overhearing both Erik and Charles, he turned to them.
"Who's Darwin?"

"What was his mutation then?" She asked curiously, as she couldn't fathom them believing him murdered if they thought he regenerated the way she, Logan, Victor and Wade could.

Not that he didn't care...okay he didn't give a shit about anyone named Darwin or any other mutants for that matter. He just wanted to crush Stryker, that was the main reason he had agreed to come in the first place.
