So last night I got a letter in the mail, from the university that
a) spelled my name wrong
b) referred to a section of the undergraduate calendar that did not pertain to science students
c) said something along the lines that it was still uncertain whether I was graduating or not
Here I was in a big panic, because not only is work stressing me out but now I had to deal with the possibility of again being not given a degree even though I've finished one in so many ways. Add to that, I was given the support cellphone, so I couldn't just drug myself to sleep, I had to be at least ready for when the phone rang to answer a call all throughout the night, the first night (ie the first batches) after a major network upgrade.
So I made it to the university this morning and sure enough, there was nothing but a harmless misprint on the letter they sent to me. A mistake on their part; they confirmed to me that I am finished, that there was nothing to be worried about, and it's all sorted out.
And then I go to work and find that the program I've spent a month of effort into, and which is putting ~10 people out of work, was producing nonsense output. Actually it wasn't, but it took a significant chunk of time figuring out why. Breathe in. Breathe out.
