2 political compass results

(From the_iron_troll)

I have taken this quiz before, probably around the time I originally found politicalcompass.

It's definitely US-centric, both in results and input questions, as well as the spectrum itself. To get the politicalcompass version of the results you'll have to flip it upside down, and tilt by 45 degrees right, (and scale by 2) And even then; I wouldn't put 'conservative' where they put it; I would put it somewhere else, certainly, same goes for liberal, and especially for Liberal and Conservative(which on this chart are both Authoritarian anyway, which is probably that far from being accurate). Despite its flaws that politicalcompass does not share, it does have a weighting system that politicalcompass does not. My "true" result, if you can even think of people in this way, is probably in the between the following 4 results:

(results below normalized to politicalcompass type results)

(from last octobre, during the election)
Economic Left/Right: -5.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.49

(from today)
Economic Left/Right: -5.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.51
(in other words, I moved slightly more to the right, up since working with the NDP, the rightbit was kind of expected as I left the NDP reality distortion field, but the up bit perplexes me)

(first time taking the quiz below)
Economic Left/Right: -0.5
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3

(second time, I readjusted the weights a little to be perhaps more accurate)
Economic Left/Right: -0.5
Social libertarian: -5.5

Neither quiz really was relevant to today's really big issues, though, and neither had the kinds of solutions that I would really propose. But to a crude approximation they were OK. I wouldn't trust them beyond a single significant figure though.

In the meanwhile, I'm sick, but it's nothing big. Sore throat, more sluggish than usual, kind of sore and tired(although I slept all day so I am both tired and overslept). No flu symptoms, and in general I'm doing OK, just not really in the mood to be overly productive.

political compass, politics, missing an option
