Fact: I have not been eaten by a bear

I have things to say and yet I haven't had a lot of interest in saying them. Some things, like the writer's strike, are just set to make me froth (am pro-WGA, obviously), and that's just not always fun (oh, studios, you love to torque me a lot). Fingers crossed the post-Thanksgiving meetings will be productive.

I've had some obsessiveness lately, too -- had my yearly "omg! must watch every episode of the office multiple times" fest, and I've also been burning through Farscape again. It's been, quite literally, years since I watched in order all the way through. I'm to "The Way We Weren't", but I'm taking a break tonight.

Also, Pushing Daisies is still my most favorite thing anywhere. I've capped it all, but haven't gotten around to making squares. boo. Though, this last episode was not my most favorite of the year, despite the presence of Cathica, and yet, it sort of was awesome, too. I'm torn on it. Sort of. A bit. Maybe it was just the casual polygamy thing I couldn't get past and/or found off-putting, but then that might be my own problem and not the episode's.

I did have a nice, productive weekend, in which I did plumbing and wiring and that's always a satisfying thing to be able to take care of yourself, despite the fact that I have such a crick in my neck today from the weird, under-the-sink contortions I had to manage to connect some of the freaking pipes. Also, the wiring gave me an actual migraine. Why, why, did the garbage disposal not come with a cord and plug? But, nothing I installed blew up in a shower of sparks or a geyser of water -- I rock the handy gal world. We can use both sides of the sink again, hooray!

I've started on my holiday fics and I've written one completely, in my head, and now I just need to actually type it out. That's very exciting. It's been a long time since I've written anything. And if you're interested, but haven't taken advantage of my gift fic offer, this is your last chance before I become sane.

And now to watch Chuck. And possibly play more Sim City than I ought (it's apparently time for that yearly obsession, as well).
