So there's me doing the link collecting thing and getting all sullen about fandom again and then my iTunes, clearly sensing my mood, kicked up "I Melt With You" by Modern English, and now I'm cheery as can be. It's absolutely impossible to be sullen when that song plays. It's the truth.

Hee. And now it's "Ballroom Blitz". {{hugs my itunes}}

The connection seems to be stable again. Because, you know, it hasn't rained in a few days. Or perhaps the cats haven't twitched their ears in just the wrong way that screws up all the electronic signals trying to reach the house. I really don't know.

Yesterday was the roommate's birthday and so with thevaliumsofalj we went to tea at the Huntington Library. Yay. They had a rose black tea that was, quite possibly, the best thing ever. We brought some home but I'm rather saddened by the fact that it's entirely too warm to make tea. I just can't handle turning on the stove right now.

After tea we walked the grounds which are vast and very lovely, except for when you come upon shifty looking plants who might possibly consume humans. For proof of their desire for flesh -- I was attacked by the bamboo in the mini-bamboo forest in the Japanese gardens.

There were also adorable wee little lizards scampering around everywhere. And the weather, while muggy and slightly warmer than I like (but then, I like it when it SNOWS, so I'm a bad judge), was very tolerable and, I might go so far as to say, pleasant.

Then we went and ate more food in Pasadena. And all in all a very nice day.

OH! I almost forgot. At the gift shop at the Huntington, they had Jane Austen action figures. Not just figures, no -- Action Figures, it said so on the box. The roommate pointed them out and I asked if they came with kung-fu writing grip and yes! they did! They came with a feather quill and a writing desk. They were awesome.

Also, they had a librarian action figure with exciting push button shushing action. That's an awesome for which there are no words.

And now I'm in a much better mood and I'll go finish facing the hell I've brought upon myself. Yay!

Hee. The Thompson Twins! My iTunes is on a roll, man.

tmc has adventures!
