pre-SciFriday rambling
I seem to be sort of completely smitten with David Tennant. Like, a lot. Like I spent three days watching Blackpool just to cap the David Tennant parts (*coughherecough*).
Thank God, Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor first, because, I had a hard enough time with the concept of a dead sexy Doctor. And it wasn't a story issue, it was just, you know, he's the freaking Doctor. Yes, yes, I'm one of those whose first reaction to the kiss was to go "ew" and then want to hide. Seriously, it's like seeing your dad kiss someone. I just ... you know, you want dad to be happy and all, but you just don't want to watch it.
Fortunately, the black leather and the crazy eyes brought me around, and I've now accepted that the Doctor can be teh hawt. However, I think if Tennant had been the Doctor first my brain would have exploded -- or torn itself apart. Some sort of neural civil war. There wouldn't have been an adjustment period, it just would have been a sudden, sharp clash of "hawt!" "no! the doctor!" "yes, but he's hawt!" "no! he's the doctor" and then I'd be dead from doctor.
This entry has no point. Except to say David Tennant is magnificently delicious.
And now I'll watch SCI Friday. And try not to be bored stupid by the Jaffa.
