Just called AmEx to change my name, and was pleasantly surprised with:
- an automated system that had sane entries and that connected me to an actual representative quickly
- nearly no wait times
- professional staff
- a verification process that made sense and that did not make me mail or even fax anything (big bonus, as Citibank managed to lose the 2 pieces of paper that I mailed and send them back to me, separately, with notes that said something to the effect of "please try again")
It probably helped that this was a corporate account, but still... Wow. Good service.
