Hahaha, agreed, SRK has waaay too many fangirls .... which could be almost creepy since he's 45, but then again, so is Hugh Laurie. :p Out of curiosity, what do you make fun of SRK about? His acting, choice of character, or all of the above?
Well, to be fair, I haven't watched too many movies with Saif. The one I do remember watching is Salaam Namaste, but I hated the movie so much that I guess I just sort of disliked him in general. But I do think he and Preity Zinta have great on-screen chemistry!
Haha, yeah, I've lost touch with the Tamora Pierce fandom for a while. (I was Gina on the dove, but I don't know if you remember me because I wasn't only seriously active for a few months back in ... 05? Holy crow has it really been that long?!) Though, I'm glad to see that treanz has practically revived the fandom with Goldenlake! And Terrier has been on my list for a while now.
Also, just a quick heads up: my LJ hasn't been active much for the past couple of months because of uni stress. I've only recently started stalking my flist again, and I plan to make an appearance (entry-wise) sometime this week. :)
Okay, so I am all about sighing over inappropriately-older-men (including dead ones) so although I think the age difference between Deepika and SRK in OSO is ... noteworthy, it doesn't really bother me (except for what it says about the position of women, in which case it bothers me in Western movies and HK cinema and and and...) . But he is SUCH a dork! He is lovable, but a dork. So I can't take him seriously? He either works in a movie or he doesn't, because his persona is so awfully specific. I feel like sometimes movies have to work around that? I did love him in Veer-Zaara, speaking of Preity.
OH, have you SEEN Kya Kehna?! It is ridiculous. Saif basically plays Jordan Catalano. Preity plays an unwed teenage mother (guess whose fault that is). There's a hilarious use of "Billie Jean." Saif has his horrible 90s haircut. OH, god. Thankfully, Dil Chahta Hai is not far off! But man, his career was so hilariously terrible.
I've been kind of out of touch with all fandom, without the excellent excuse of school. But I look forward to your return. And I definitely remember that you were on the Dove, but I don't remember any specifics which means I didn't secretly (or not secretly) hate everything you said. In fact, I may have envied the brevity of your user name. It does seem ages ago, though. Wow, I better not look at those numbers too closely: my 21st is coming up and I'm feeling old as is. :p
