Thanks so much! Any kind of help is greatly appreciated. :) BTW, I took pictures at the AMW event, but I won't be posting them until October--I'm studying for my exams.
- I find a majority of my pictures off of eBay. I do a search for Anna May Wong and save any pictures I haven't seen before. Then I do a search for Anna Mae Wong. It doesn't happen very often, but you can find a rare picture under the "misspelling" of her name. You will come across protected images that will not allow you right click and save the pictures. I've found a way around this which is to take screencaps of the page. (But you don't have to worry about the screencapping part, I'll take care of that.) And I wouldn't recommend searching for all the movies she's been in. It's incredibly time consuming. Not a lot of relevant results come up when you do search for them.
- If I'm busy or if I forget to check eBay one week, I go to Fanpix.net or Who's Dated Who. They're pretty good at uploading pictures that I missed. But not everything from eBay gets uploaded to those websites, so I try keep a close eye on eBay. You have to be a member of Who's Dated Who in order to view the pictures. So please sign up if you haven't already.
- Google Images is pretty good too. In fact, when I first started searching for images of Anna I used Google Images. (I still use it!) New images often show up in the search, you can find rare/not as well known pictures of her.
- Auction houses/websites like Christie's allow you search for past auctions (and present auctions). Not all auction houses/websites have sold Anna May Wong-related collectibles, so don't be surprised if you get zero results. If you do get results, they often come with descriptions and pictures.
- The Fashion Spot has a discussion/photo thread for Anna May Wong. Some of the images are only viewable to members. The Fashion Spot is invitation only, so please let me know if you'd like an invite. I can send you one. :)
