stay young, go dancing

at a time like this, maybe all i need is to take stock of the good vibes sent my way throughout the week. :)

every month, B and i exchange playlists, and this month, both of us put in a couple of cheesy love songs for good measure. she also sent me a letter in the form of a website with my name as part of the url, which had an animated illustration of her waving to me. we swear we are anti-cheesy but we keep thinking of ways to trump each other's sweetness. they say you're lucky if you have at least 5 friends you can trust your life with, but i say i'm lucky because i have more than 5 friends who make me want to do nice, sweet, non-cheesy, thoughtful things.

P sent me some chocolate. it's not for girls, indeed, i concede. i should have been warned by the calorie count, it's richer than what i'm used to. i think it's the first chocolate bar i didn't finish in one sitting. i'm impressed with the eraser he sent, though. it doesn't smell like marshmallows but i've never had an eraser that does the job ever so elegantly.

papa sliced my favorite brand of queso de bola. he is awesome.

the Korean had too much fun with my hair, chopped bangs shorter than usual, but friends seem to like it, and J said it "sets off your eyes". May ganon. :)

drove to old college, beautiful colors along the way, my favorite tree is still in bloom.

a resolve to stop purchasing, do more packaging and sharing, because i really really really have so many blessings, come to think of it. :)

I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie's Codes and Keys, which reminds me of that Stills album I had on loop forever some years ago. It makes me feel light and airy and thankful, despite how intense things can be day-to-day.

when there's a doubt within your mind
coz you're thinking all the time
framing rights into wrongs
move along, move along

package, death cab for cutie, letters, shine girls, berns, may, marshmallow, yorkie, mix, music, shopping, stills, dcfc, queso, jina, eraser, up, website
