LESS THAN A MONTH AND ALREADY ANOTHER UPDATE!
.. we'll see just how constructive this thing actually gets. I'm playing a show with The Debutantes this Saturday night at the Dox, and yes of coarse, this is a pitch to get people out to it... that means you, secret journal reader that I dont know. (caught ya!) Heck kids, bring your grandma along with...maybe I could get the guys to throw some "old grey mare just ain't what she used to be" into the set for her. Eh? Today's practice was super fun. We had a visitor(s) ...James decides to walk over with his kid.. drunk, bajiggety, and ready to dance. I guess that was a fairly cyclic statement, wasn't it.
I think if buildings/places took on actual personas, my garage would be a third cousin of the Goodwill. It comes with an assortment of collectables, ranging from 101 Dalmation umbrellas to Vietnam hats to 10-year-old zip drives. The only thing it is lacking in from being an actual Goodwill is a horde of Fun Run t-shirts dating back to the days when people found it fun to run... when was that, anyway?..
Ish left the church, and Reuben is stepping up. I'm in such high spirits for that boy, I love him to death and know he's going to do a tremendous job with the group. We talked on the phone last night for a good amount of time and made plans on hanging out friday and saturday night. Can't wait... I've been withdrawn from good guitar playing for longer than I can stand, and hype on passionate players.
Spirit rocks. I love everything about it. I'm finally allowing myself to get emotionally involved in this and wouldn't want to be anywhere else... sucks that I had to put a shackle on my emotion for so long because of what I had been through. The corps is incredible.. our foudation has been laid, it is solid, and we're building a mansion on top. Look out DCI.
Pip is making me an "Oh Disaster" shirt, so to return the favor, I've got some fashion waiting at her door step as well.......hey, at least she won't be running around like a wild baboon taking nude pictures of herself and posting them on here anymore, hahahahaaa...haah..h...a.. later, my faithful readers =)
