So i feel that this is a deserving enough occasion to give the lj world an update... calm yourselves, people, i dont want anyone getting a black eye from your boistrous movements of excitemnt..
Okay, now that I got all the sarcasm out in my exposition ..I have been doing awesome. I am officially on my spring break and am having a HOOTIN good time! It actually began thursday night, when I went with Nick and Mandi to a partay in silverhill... Nick was the life of the party to say the least, and Mandi and I discussed decoration for our room next year at Troy. We're doing strong work getting a 3 or 4 person room because Katy is also going to be either rooming with us or, if the 3 person gig doesn't get through, is going to be rooming right next to us. Fun times ARE in the near future for the 3 of us either way!
Friday night, Amy, Snackpack, and I went to The Dox to watch Sam play with Adelle ...to much surprise, everyone and their mommasbestfriendspoolguys were there too. I seriousely don't think there was a person in the joint I didn't know, or that didn't know me.. almost freakish, but I certainly had one heck of a good time. During the show, we invited Anna to come beaching with us on Sat. and made plans to head out at like 9 sat. morning.
Needless to say, after a night of a 7:00pm-1:00am show, my little italian behind was NOT rolling out at 9 in the morning ...i got to Amy's at 10:30, ended up taking Snacky, Julie, and Jonathan along with and got to the beach close to 12 or so. Couldn't get Anna for some reason, so we decided she'll have to join us on our next adventure out. We park really close to what was once a Hooters and is now "leftovers" Ivan decided not to eat and set up our stuff where no one else was for at least a mile. Its such an incredible feeling to be there when no one else is, it's close to a feeling of selfishness ..because for those few hours, that beach belonged to us. Oh and, hah...amy, jules, and i even had to make the point that we were the 3 hottest chiks on the beach, solely because of the fact we were the ONLY chiks on the beach. (and Jonathan the honorary 4th, for obvious reasons..) We were in the water for a good hour when we decided to head back after all 5 of us got sucked into the undertoe several times, the waves were twice the size of us, therefore, i'll venture to say it was a wise decision. We all got busted BAD while having so much fun, my shoulder got jabbed and dragged all the way across the sand bar, and I still came back with the least amount of damage. We are major adrenaline FREAKS, we wanted to go back in. ...Stopped at Mellow Mushroom for some good eats on the way back and apparently out-drove the storm, while listening to the funniest music ever (my early 90's mix), and the twix made it home nice and dry, though full of sand :)
Today was Easter, which is like a landmark "inform people of what's up" day (reason for update)...The entire Palumbo family filled the italian sterotype by meeting at the Casino's for Easter dinner. I absolutely love my family more than ANYTHING, and laughed for close to 4 hours straight. On the way back home, Matt and Indra showed us a really old and beautiful cemetary in Ocean Springs, where Matt pointed out that someone's tombstone definitley read "Fought the SPAM War" ...(Spanish-American)..quite amusing to say the least.
And to close off, Daphne Indoor got an 89.7 prelims and 89.0 finals last weekend at a WGI regional ..we're movin' on uuuuuup! to the eaaassst side! ...and Spirit camp next weekend, and Dayton after that, and many more adventurating in the coming week......maybe another update? hmmm
