I give you a topic, one which I could write about at quite some length, but unfortunately at the present time I don’t possess the ability to sit still for more than five minutes (bloody finals). So I am just going to present to you a simple idea, one which you should think about, possibly comment on, and maybe one I will expand upon later.

Intelligent Design ring a bell? It should; it’s been the latest big media crave since Bush took office in 2000. Coincidence? Probably. What I find REALLY interesting, however, is when die hard Evolutionists get offended by the thought of someone else attacking their point of view and wanting equal representation amongst the scientific community.

Earth to kettle! You’re BLACK!

You guys are so used to being the “rebels” and the trouble makers, what with your atheism and your loud music. Think about it, you demand a reformation in the modern world, one that involves striking God out of all things public. Anytime someone tries to bring up religion, you immediately jump to the conclusion that oppression is on the verge - now we must all fight tooth and nail for our religious freedom. Sure, many times we were being oppressed; debating the ideas of religion and stiring up intelligent possabilities was a hard but necessary strugle.

Well, now who is the oppressor? Most of you have down right rejected the idea of Intelligent Design based on your “moral obligation” to anything not involving a direct correlation to your science. The tides have turned; your ideas are being questioned and the waves are approaching the shores and harbors you once claimed refuge, but you can’t deal with the troubles that you yourselves once dished out.

I’m not saying I am at all an advocate of Intelligent Design by any means, but as a scientist I cannot disregard the chance that it may be more viable than its counter-parts in our infinite sphear of possibilities.
