Jack picked up a square lighter, studying his reflection in the polished silver. He wasn’t sure if it was actually what he wanted.

Jack put the lighter back down on the table. He looked at the other lighters scattered about, trying to figure out again why he had been dragged to the flea market. This flea market especially was known for being dirty, and overcharging cheaply made merchandise.

He picked up a lighter that looked like a dragon. He set it back down, as he realized that it could possible break if he held it too long. The gold leaf had also peeled off on his hand, leaving a stain of flakes. He didn’t feel like being forced to buy the stupid, worthless lighter, he was sure aside with the obvious aesthetic problems, it probably had no lighter fluid.

A blond with her hair in a braid, and wearing a blue kimono put her hand on his shoulder. “Finding anything fun?”

Jack turned, and gave her a kiss on the lips. “Hey.” He looked back at the table, in regards to her question, and shrugged. “Not really.”

She gave him a smile. “I know we can afford somewhere else, but I thought you might be able to find something unusual for your lighter collection.”

“I don’t need another lighter, the only thing I need is you. Since I have that, let’s go home.” Jack wrapped her in a strong hug.

She smiled. “Okay.”
