1) There have been SEVERAL obsticles to me registering for the one class that I want at ACC. But as of today, I'm registered and paid for Chinese I!!! I've even pre-ordered my books online already! Classes start on August 27th and I couldn't be more excited!
2) Unfortunately, I was forced to have the "going back to school, may have to work part-time" talk with one of my bosses friday. I wasn't quite ready to have this conversation, but because I was going to have to settle for a daytime botany course (when the evening Chinese class I wanted was full). He wasn't very pleased. In fact, he was more than a little worried about how it would effect the overall clinic flow. SO, even though I did eventually get my evening class, and it WON'T interfere with the clinic this fall, he now realized that it is INEVITABLE that I will be going back to school for real. He asked me what I was going to be studying and why I was taking an ACC course, and now he knows that I'm planning on enrolling at
AOMA as soon as I meet the prerequisites.
3) SEVEN weeks have passed since I told my employer that I was stepping down from management. This week I may actually be passing the baton to someone else and relinquishing my duties!!! Hopefully I'll get a chance to take a day or two off to relax after this. I could REALLY use a break from work right now.
It's all coming together. FINALLY.
